Discover power and prestige behind the wheel of either the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus Premiere or 2025 Lexus RX 350 AWD. In these trims, both luxury SUVs feature a turbocharged inline four-cylinder (I4) engine. Overall, the 2.0L engine of the Lincoln makes 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the slightly larger 2.4L engine of the Lexus makes 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. City fuel economy is identical, but the Nautilus offers a 1 MPG advantage in highway fuel economy. Selectable drive modes in the Nautilus Premiere include normal, conserve, excite, slippery and deep conditions, while the RX 350 AWD features normal, eco, sport, and custom drive modes.

The Nautilus Premiere comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD) capability, while the RX 350 includes AWD in the configuration we used in this comparison, though the trim is standard with front-wheel drive (FWD). If hybrid power and efficiency is appealing to you, the Lincoln Nautilus offers a hybrid powertrain across its trim lineup. Meanwhile, Lexus offers a separate RX Hybrid or RX Plug-in Hybrid model as part of the larger RX line of vehicles.

A luxurious drive awaits in either 2025 Lincoln Nautilus or 2025 Lexus RX. The entry-level trims we compared both come equipped with premium interior materials, including NuLuxe® seat upholstery and Black Cascade interior trim in the RX 350 AWD and Lincoln soft touch seating material with smoked woven aluminum trim in the Nautilus Premiere. Power-adjustable front seats and a power-adjustable steering column are standard with both models. Seat up to five people comfortably in either two-row SUV. Beyond these interior similarities, there are a number of differences to consider, including:

  • Interior space — The Nautilus is more spacious with 43.5 inches of legroom in both the front and rear seats along with up to 71.3 cubic feet of cargo space. By comparison, the Lexus RX offers 41.1 inches of front legroom, 37.4 inches of rear legroom, and up to 46.2 cubic feet of cargo volume. 
  • Rear seat adjustability — While both models include folding rear seats, the Nautilus includes a 60/40 split with Easyfold® seatback release functionality and the RX rear seats have 40/20/40 split folding functionality, along with a reclining feature. 
  • Seat comfort options — In the comparable trim levels we looked at, both models include standard heated front seats, while the Lincoln makes heated rear seats and ventilated front seats optional.
  • Memory settings — Ensure your driver’s seat, mirrors, and steering column return to your preferred settings after you let someone else drive your Nautilus with standard memory settings in the Nautilus Premiere. Comparable memory settings are not available in the RX 350 AWD trim, though they are offered in more advanced models. 
  • Multi-sensory experience — Incorporated with the cabin ventilation system, the Lincoln Nautilus is uniquely available with a Digital Scent system, which fills the cabin with a range of revitalizing aromas. While it’s not available for the trim we used in this comparison, select Lexus RX trims offer Traffic Jam Assist, which allows you to drive hands-free in condensed, low-speed traffic.
